I spent a bit of time this morning learning how to jailbreak an iPhone. Still playing with it, but I really like the way you can customize everything.

Nike+ API on Google Code

January 8, 2009 by wroolie Leave a Comment

I’ve been working on this API off and on for a while now.

I have a Google Code repository where it is hosted.

I’ve put the code at https://nikepluscsharp.googlecode.com/svn/trunk

The unit tests are working quite the way I would like them to.  I mentioned this in a post I did last year and never put any real projects up.

The (so far) very blank project pages are located at:

http://code.google.com/p/nikepluscsharp/

Any problems you see with the code, please let me know.

Back to basics

December 30, 2008 by wroolie 1 Comment

I spent a few hours this morning converting my Overpass site from .net to php. A few years ago, I converted of the opposite way–leaving php for c#.

The truth is that I wanted to play with the Aptana IDE and see how php has evolved since I left it a few years ago. I also want to work with jquery a bit.

There is something very relaxing working closer to the HTML in the way that php and classic asp forced you to. No skin files, datagrids, or sitemaps. I’m always suspicious of the new technologies which hide underlying technologies. The big browsers still just read HTML,Css, and javascript out of the box.

I really like working with aptana. I think it is as good as vs2008 (but for php). I may upload the php site in the next week or so.
